Buhari 'Hasn't Submitted' Ministerial Nominees List To Senate

President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to submit a list of his ministerial nominees to the senate, Dino Melaye, acting senate spokesman, has said. According to Melaye, the senate was still awaiting the list as at Wednesday afternoon. “I want to announce that we are still waiting for the ministerial list from the president,” the senate acting spokesman said. “I want to advise there is no need for agitation. September expires 12 midnight today. And I want to assure Nigerians [that] as soon as we get possession of the list, we will communicate to them. “I also want to assure Nigerians that we will attend to the ministerial list expeditiously, but diligently. It is not going to be business as usual. We are going to properly screen the nominees, and only those who meet the constitutional and moral requirements will be cleared. “We want Nigerians not to be agitated. September expires 12 midnight. The doors of the senate president are open 24 hours.”

President Muhammadu Buhari says he will head the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in the new cabinet. Addressing some select reporters in New York, United States, on Tuesday, after addressing a Global Leaders' Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism, he said: "I wil remain Minister of Petroleum. I will appoint a minister of state for petroleum." According to him, this step is being taken as part of efforts to sanitise Nigeria’s oil industry which is said to be plagued by corruption, massive fraud, and crude oil theft. Buhari restated his determination to sanitise Nigeria's oil industry and free it from corruption and shady deals. He said that the first step in this direction had already been taken with the appointment of a new management for the NNPC and its subsequent reorganisation. Last night singer Neyo's pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Renay deleted all his photos from her instagram page. It all started after she posted this picture of herself and Ne-Yo cuddled up on her pagee. That's when Fameolous caught a messy commenter asking if Crystal knew about the big booty stripper Ne-Yo was messing with in DC. A few hours after this comment, Crystal deleted all traces of Ne-Yo from her page. When her followers asked her if she'd broken up with him, Crystal uploaded a video of her engagement ring assuring fans all was  well but quickly deleted it.

50-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq was beaten to death and his 22-year-old son severely injured on Monday night in UP's Dadri, allegedly by residents of Bisara village, around 45 km from Delhi, after rumours spread in the area about the family storing and consuming beef, police said. (above - Photo of the wife and daughter of the man killed by the mob)Six people were arrested in connection with the attack, sparking protests that led to police firing, damage to vehicles and injuries to a 20-year-old welder who works for the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) facility in the area. Police said they have sent samples of meat taken from Akhlaq's home "to the forensics department for examination". Akhlaq's daughter, Sajida, said the family had "mutton in the fridge" and not beef.
