Former Buhari supporter begins trek from Lagos to Abuja to kick against his 2nd term bid

A middle-aged Nigerian man, Isa Mohammed Munlaila pictured above with a box on his head, today began trekking from Lagos to Abuja to kick against the 2nd term ambition of President Buhari. Speaking to newsmen in Lagos as he embarked on his journey, Munlaila said Nigerian youths were angry with Buhari for failing the nation after three years at the helm of affairs. Carrying a small box with the inscription: “R.I.P APC.”, Munlaila says he hopes his gesture will be appreciated by Nigerian youths and not vote for president Buhari in 2019. Recall that in 2015, Suleiman Hashimu walked from Lagos to Abuja for 18 days, to celebrate Buhari’s victory at the polls.

The 15 most expensive uncapped players in the world

We've scanned through the transfer records to pick out the priciest players whove never represented their country. Turns out France and Brazil have plenty of strength in depth who knew? More 15. Currently on loan at Leganes – managed by former Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino – Carrillo is unlikely to ever usurp the likes of Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain and Mauro Icardi in his country’s centre-forward pecking order. 14. Chelsea boss Sarri axes another unpopular Conte rule

When you are in at work for 10 o’clock in the morning and home long before two, you would not have thought life could get much easier. But Chelsea’s players will now get a lie in too as Maurizio Sarri continues his charm offensive. The new manager is keen to release the shackles after Antonio Conte’s rules and regulations saw him become unpopular as things turned sour. His to-the-minute training schedule was not a winner with the Stamford Bridge squad and they were quick to let their feelings be known. The Italian’s no-argument diet plan also was not wanted – so Sarri is attempting to earn some early brownie points by putting ketchup and other sauce back on the canteen menu. But the former Napoli boss has now allowed his players to start training in the afternoon so they can spend more time with their families, SunSport say. Sarri’s idea is to change the pre-existing regime and bring the team closer together. He is already winning round Eden Hazard, who has been heav

Ronaldo says 'competitive' son has every chance of following in his footsteps

If you’re mourning the fact that before long we’ll never see a player quite like Cristiano Ronaldo ever again, put the tissues away. The man himself has spotted someone who he says has every one of his trademark features – and could go to the top of the game. Well he would say that, it’s his son after all. In a very rare interview about his private life, the legendary former Real Madrid and Manchester United star has opened up about the Ronaldo legacy – and keeping the famous name going in the game.
