Since Falz released “This is Nigeria” -  so much controversy has followed the lyrics and video of  the song. He added that he intends to have his lawyers write to them to find out why the song was banned. He said: There is absolutely nothing vulgar about the song and I think it is ridiculous that the National Broadcasting Commission singled out the least vulgar line in the song and ascribed it to be the reason they banned the song. It is a very simple and clean song. The only thing is that I was very blunt about the way I ta

After scoring in the Red Devils' 2-1 win over Leicester City, the World Cup-winning midfielder was ambiguous over his status at Old Trafford More Paul Pogba says he will not reveal how he feels about his situation at Manchester United for fear of being punished by the club. The France midfielder scored from the penalty spot to help United record a 2-1 win over Leicester City on Friday, despite returning to training just four days prior to the fixture. Pogba was given time off after helping his country lift the World Cup in France, though Jose Mourinho still opted to name him as captain for the Premier League opener at Old Trafford. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away during the transfer window, with both Barcelona and former club Juventus reportedly interested, but looks set to remain with his current employers. Still, his relationship with Mourinho - who dropped the player on more than one occasion last season, including for a Champions League kno

'Ronaldo guarantees Juventus title until 2022' - Cassano expects 40-goal hauls to dominate Serie A

A fellow former Real Madrid star is backing the Portuguese superstar to shine in Italy, even if those in Spain deemed him surplus to requirements More Cristiano Ronaldo means Juventus have the Serie A title “sewn up until 2022”, says Antonio Cassano, with the Portuguese being backed to net 40 goals a season. A €100 million (£89m/$114m) deal has taken the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to Italy, with the Bianconeri having pulled off quite the coup in securing his signature. Cassano, as a fellow former Real Madrid star, is not surprised to see those at the Santiago Bernabeu part with a 33-year-old talent – even one still at his peak – but is convinced that a modern-day icon will continue to shine in Turin. The ex-Roma and AC Milan forward told  Gazzetta dello Sport : “It goes without saying now, Juventus have the Scudetto sewn up until 2022. CR7 will score at least 40 goals, while I only see Inter behind the Bianconeri. “Juventus did a great deal by signing the second best

Goal takes a look at the biggest transfer news and rumours from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and beyond More Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Eden Hazard is happy at Chelsea and that he has given no indication that he wants to leave for Real Madrid. The Belgian has long been on Madrid's radar as Julen Lopetegui considers finding a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus earlier in the summer transfer window. Thibaut Courtois has already made the move from Stamford Bridge to Spain, and has insisted that it would be "fantastic" if Hazard were to join him in Madrid. Goal  understands that a contract offer is on the table for Hazard - a figure of around £300k-a-week that would make him the highest-paid player in the club's history - but he is not close to signing the new deal. Sarri, though, is adamant that his star man wants to remain at the club, revealing that that Hazard has not indicated to him that he wants to leave in the c

The Barcelona defender made the announcement ahead of Sunday's Supercopa de Espana clash with Sevilla, revealing he had informed new national team boss Luis Enrique of his decision during a conversation between the pair. "I spoke with Luis Enrique and told him that my decision has been made," Pique told the media. "I had a really nice time with the Spain team, and I'm very happy to have been part of the success." Spalletti expects Modric to stay at Madrid despite 'great' efforts by Inter

Modric's future in the Spanish capital has been the subject of speculation, the Croatia international having been heavily linked with a move to Inter. However, reports have also suggested the 32-year-old - who has helped Madrid be crowned champions of Europe in four of the past five seasons - could be set to sign a new contract with his employers. Speaking after his side's 1-0 International Champions Cup win over Atletico Madrid, Spalletti praised Inter's hierarchy for their attempts to attract a player who won the Golden Ball at this year's World Cup. While the Nerazzurri boss predicts Modric will stay put, he is happy
