Singer Duncan Mighty has responded to reports that he battered his wife over the weekend. On Monday, there were reports that Duncan Mighty battered his wife, leaving her with a swollen eye. The reports, quoting friends and colleagues of his wife Vivien, also claim the Port Harcourt based singer has been a wife beater for some time. Alleged photos of Vivien’s battered face were also posted on social media In a post on Instagram , Duncan Mighty who shared loved up photos of him and his wife, described the reports as lies aimed at tarnishing his image. Liberia’s President George Weah to Honour Arsene Wenger & Claude Le Roy

Liberian president George Weah is set to honour former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and French coach Claude Le Roy for their role in his footballing career,  BBC  reports. The decoration ceremony is billed to hold in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia on Friday 24th August. “They will be honoured by the government of Liberia on 24 August, National Flag Day for their role in President George Weah’s footballing career,” a government spokesman is quoted by the Reuters news agency as saying. Weah, who was raised in a slum in Monrovia, starred at top-flight European football clubs Paris St-Germain (PSG) and AC Milan, before ending his career in England with brief stays at Chelsea and Manchester City. Arsene Wenger was George Weah's coach at Paris St-Germain (PSG) in the 1990s Wear is the only African footballer to have won both Fifa World Player of the Year and the prestigious Ballon D'Or.
