Waiting patiently or Wasting your time

Waiting patiently or Wasting your time 10/19/2015 8:12 AM There are many uncertainties that comes with being in a relationship the most common is not knowing the plans of your partner, if your partner is as enthusiastic about the relationship as you are in most cases you never can tell because like the old saying goes time will tell but them time is of the essence if we could have a little glimpse of the future in the past we wouldn't have made a lot of mistakes, but you see life does not come with a mystic ball which one can use to have a clear glimpse of the future. I often read a lot of article advising women to stick with a guy with potential even if he is penniless, to be honest its not fun dating a broke guy it even gets worse when he dumps you the moment he gets financially stable, you will feel like a fool you will feel used a lot of women have found themselves in this situation then the "had I known" syndrome begins to clamp down on you, you start blaming your se

Nigerians Reject Immunity For Senate President, Speaker

Image
Mixed reactions have trailed the proposal by the national assembly to grant immunity to its presiding officers with many Nigerians describing the move as unnecessary and Ill timed. The minority leader of the House of Representatives Hon. Leo Ogor was quoted as saying that the national assembly was proposing to amend the constitution to grant immunity to the presiding officers as well as the head of the judiciary as enjoy ed by the president t and his vice and governors and their deputy. But speaking with Vanguard in Abuja, respondents said the move was not borne out of altruism. According to a lawyer, Barrister Manasseh Ejiofor, the proposal was uncalled for and smacks “legislative rascalism” “Why are they bringing up the issue of immunity now? Whose interest are they serving? There are so many issues for the national assembly to address the least of which is the issue of immunity for its presiding officers. They should concentrate on making laws for the benefit

Russia’s Action In Syria, Recipe For Disaster – Obama

Image
US President Barack Obama has warned Russia that its bombing campaign to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will suck Moscow into a quagmire that will be hard to get out of. Obama said Russia was also failing to distinguish between Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant fighters and more moderate rebels in Syria. “An attempt by Russia and Iran to prop up Assad and try to pacify the population is just going to get them stuck in a quagmire and it won’t work,” Obama told a White House news conference on Friday. “From their perspective, they’re all terrorists. And that’s a recipe for disaster.” Russia continued bombing Syria on Friday for a third straight day. Targets have included ISIL’s main stronghold in Raqqa, but also the provinces of Hama, Aleppo and Idlib where few ISIL fighters operate. Obama said he would not turn the Syrian civil war into a “proxy war” between the US and Russia. “This is not some superpower chessboard contest,” he said. Aljazeera.

In August, the CBN indicated that foreign exchange reserves rose by $350 million (N70 billion) to $31.43 billion, but has since then fallen twice, with no succour in view. Cabinet Delay:It’s Jonathan’s Fault -Buhari

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari Says Late Submission Of Handover Notes By Goodluck Jonathan Is Major Reason He Delayed Constituting A Cabinet Whose List Of Nominees Is Now At The Senate Following rising anxiety over his inability to constitute a cabinet four months after he was inaugurated as President, Muhammadu Buhari, has given fresh reasons he was unable to select from the array of human capital available to him, to form his cabinet. Speaking in nationwide address to mark the 55th Independence anniversary of the country, President Buhari said late submission of handover notes by Goodluck Jonathan formed a major reason for the delay. He argued that handover notes, which were submitted four days to his inauguration, afforded his transition committee led by Ahmed Joda, little time to thoroughly study it and make the necessary changes. He however argued that rushing to form a cabinet would have been counter-productive adding that the delay was also aimed at making

Those Who Invited Wanted ISIS Chief To Nigeria Arrested In Kano

Image
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), yesterday, denied playing any part in the process that led to the issuance of Nigerian Visa to the wanted ISIS chief, Ahmed Al Assir in Lebanon, even as it said two men connected to Al Assir, who he was coming to visit in Nigeria, had been arrested in Kano and immediately handed over to the National Security Adviser, General Babagana Monguno (rtd). The Comptroller-General of the NIS, Martin Abeshi, who debunked any complicity of the Service, while speaking at a news conference in Abuja, said “From the record available, the Immigration Service did not issue that visa. It might be the officials of the foreign affairs ministry because they also issue visa on our behalf.” Abeshi however, said the NIS went into action to arrest those connected to Al Assir immediately it gathered an intelligence that he was coming to Nigeria. Said the NIS boss: “When we were told that the person [Al Assir] was heading to Nigeria, the people the

He said, “The issue of the low morale of the Nigerian military men has now become a thing of the past. The operation to recover the Chibok girls is alive and still ongoing. We have continued to make rescue efforts, and we will do all within our powers to bring the girls. “However, we will not rush to do this. It requires diligent intervention and a high-level

Hajj Stampede: “He Stoned Them Back To Death” – Nigerian Transgender Blames God

Image
Nigerian born transgender, Stephanie Rose, has once again called out to ‘God’ as being behind the death of hundreds of pilgrims in the recent Mina, Saudi Arabia stampede when Muslim pilgrims gathered to carry out Islamic ritual of stoning the Devil. It will be recalled that Rose, born Dapo Adaralegbe has before now, put out all sorts of comments to buttress her real hatred for God. In her recent Facebook posts, the transgender alleged that God is actually the Devil that the pilgrims went to stone in the Holy land and He ended up killing them. She wrote: “The same God is the devil that they had gone to stone in Mecca. What else can you expect from the blood thirsty Abrahamic God that delights in killing and destruction? He stoned them back with death…. They did not go to heaven or Hell fire, their souls are reincarnated after many years. “Yes … The Abrahamic God is the God and devil of this wicked World! I know the Abrahamic God so well … He has plotted many ev

See ‘Gynaecologist’ Docked For Raping His Patients In Kenya

The accused, Mugo wa Wairimu pleaded not guilty and has previously denied that he raped his patients. Kenya’s Medical Practitioners Board has denied Wairimu is a registered doctor after a Kenya TV report in a footage revealed an unidentified man allegedly assaulting an unconscious woman on a clinic bed. Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo, from Nelson Mandela’s Thembu ethnic group, was jailed by the Supreme Court of Appeals. He had approached the SCA to overturn a 2009 court ruling on the matter, which had sentenced him to 15 years. The charges relate to a dispute he had with some of his subjects more than two decades ago. He was accused of kidnapping a woman and her six children, setting their home on fire and beating up four youths, one of whom died, because one of their relatives had failed to present himself before the kings’s traditional court. The king has never denied the charges but believed his actions were in line with disciplining his subjects, reports say. In Bloemfontein in the Free State Province, a panel of judges looked at his case in August and the evidence presented before sentencing. The Eastern Cape High Court had sentenced him t

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari says he will head the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in the new cabinet. Addressing some select reporters in New York, United States, on Tuesday, after addressing a Global Leaders' Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism, he said: "I wil remain Minister of Petroleum. I will appoint a minister of state for petroleum." According to him, this step is being taken as part of efforts to sanitise Nigeria’s oil industry which is said to be plagued by corruption, massive fraud, and crude oil theft. Buhari restated his determination to sanitise Nigeria's oil industry and free it from corruption and shady deals. Africans Are Not Gays, Mugabe Tells UN

Image
Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has rejected calls from the United Nations (UN ) to implement gay rights in his country. Speaking on September 28, at the 70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting, Mugabe said that upholding human rights is the obligation of all member states, but vehemently rejected the imposition of what he called “new rights” for gay marriage that have been advocated elsewhere in the world. The 91-year-old Zimbabwean strongman said: “We equally reject attempts to prescribe new rights that are contrary to our norms, values, traditions and beliefs. We are not gays. Cooperation and respect for each other will advance the cause of human rights worldwide. Confrontation, vilification and double standards will not,” he told members of the General Assembly. Mugabe has previously called homosexuals “worse than pigs and dogs.” A spokesman for his ruling party, Zanu-PF, has said same-sex marriage had no place in Africa. Currently chairman o

I Did’nt Get My Husband’s Support For National Assembly Re-Election – Says Sen. Tinubu

Sen. Oluremi Tinubu on Tuesday said that she did not get the support of her husband, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to run for second term in the past National Assembly elections. Tinubu, Lagos Central Senatorial District, made the disclosure while answering questions at the ongoing “Women in Government’’ conference organised by the South-West Region of the Department For International Development (DF ID). She said that it was her district leaders who got the form for her and talked her husband into allowing her to run for the position. According to her, Asiwaju likes his wife to be at home and what is more confusing to me is that most Muslim men do not want their wives to work, but I am a hard worker. “People have been saying that I got to this position because I am Asiwaju’s wife. “What they did not realise is that in the past election, my husband asked me not to go for a se

All Priests Responsible For Sexual Abuse Of Children Will Be Punished – Pope Francis

Image
Pope Francis on Monday admitted that Catholic Church hierarchies shielded the crimes of paedophile priests. The Pontiff stated this hours after meeting people who were abused in their youth by members of the clergy. Speaking to reporters on the return flight from Philadelphia to Rome, at the end of his pilgrimage to Cuba and the United States, Francis said abusing children was “almost a sacri lege’’ and a betrayal of the call of God for a priest. “And those who have covered up these things are also guilty, even some bishops have covered up, it is a very bad thing,’’ the pontiff stressed. On Sunday, the leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics spent about 30 minutes with three women and two men who were sexually abused by clergy members. “I promise that all those responsible for the sexual abuse of children will be punished,’’ Francis later told a gathering of bishops, saying he felt “deep shame’’ about the acts.
