Amnesty or Punishment

When there is a crime, the first thing to do is to attend to the victims of the  crime and help them in any way you can then go after the criminals, when the criminal are eventually caught the next line of action is either to punish them or forgive them but off course forgiving them will mean they are sober and feel sorry for the crime they have committed and willing to make amends. When it comes to the issue of Boko Haram, The Nigerian government and The Nigerian citizens its a completely different scenario the government has left the victims of BH unattended to, they are still yet to catch the members of the BH sect who at the perpetrators of this disastrous act called suicide bombing which has brought pain to a lot of Nigerians a lot o people, especially those in the North are grieving over the loss of their loved ones and the loss of  properties  not much has been done by the government to help rehabilitate the victims while some of the Northern elites like the Sultan, Nasir El ruffai Nuhu Ribadu and the rest are requesting that BH sect who is responsible for the suicide bombings taking place in Norther Nigeria be granted Amnesty. I begin to ask my self whether this men are in the right frame of mind their argument is that the members of the BH should be granted amnesty because amnesty was granted to the Niger Delta Militants forgetting that the militants were fighting for their right a just cause while the BH is a terrorist group that is against western influence and civilization yet they use sophisticated weapons which is a product of the west to carry out their activities.                                                                             The amnesty given to the militants by the Yar adua administrations did not stop the vandalization of pipelines and the illegal trade of crude oil in the south south so granting amnesty to the BH won't stop the suicide bombings and the killing of innocent citizen in fact it will give them more strength as the amnesty will provide more funds for them to work with. The BH should be seen for who they truly are, cowards who use religion as an excuse to cause havoc and those requesting that they be granted amnesty are their master minders, they have run out of funds to acquire more bombs and weapons now they want the FG to give them money in the name of amnesty. Too bad they are not getting a dime their reward is the ten virgins they ll be given when they get to paradise .
