Ariana Grande's Ponytail Reportedly Increased the Sale of Hair Extensions in Australia

Ariana Grande has served as a constant source of beauty, fashion, and even bath bomb inspiration. Whether sporting a classic manicure or changing up her hair shade to something fun and edgy, the pop star isn't afraid to take risks. However, there's one look that we can always count on Ariana to appear in — the ponytail. And her dedication to this hairstyle classic has apparently inspired a movement.
Fans in Australia are reportedly super inspired by the pop star's signature hairstyle, with one haircare company telling news.com.au that they've noticed a significant increase in hair extension sales. "We have had a 50 percent increase in (clip-in) ponytail and halo sales within the last six months,” Stephanie Mason, owner of the extensions company Showpony told news.com.au." The company directly attributes the popularity to Ariana's ponytail.
Proof of Ariana's Australian impact was further backed by Jacky Chan, the creative director of Australian salon Chadstone. He told news.com.au that customers specifically point to the singer as inspiration, saying, "(Customers) do mention her name and say, ‘that’s how high I want my ponytail.'"
According to Jacky, Ariana's look does require thick, long hair. He detailed the exact extensions process required, saying, "We put the (natural) hair in a ponytail first, and then use clip-in hair extensions or halo hair extensions (a headband-like hair extension attachment), and tie it around the base of the natural hair to add thickness and extra length."
It's important to note that a style with extensions does require maintenance. It's best that you work with a salon to properly achieve the look and be aware that you will have to care extensively for your hair after the extension insertion process.
Of course, you can also always try growing out your hair, too.The process of getting the Rapunzel length of your dreams will require time and perhaps the use of haircare products that will help maintain growth. You may want to stock up on products that can help you during the grow process, including scalp serums and brushes with keratin-infused bristles. You also want to avoid using heat-based styling tools that could damage your hair. Plus, just like your skin, you should ensure that you're protecting your hair from outdoor elements like the sun
