Demi Lovato reportedly heading to Rehab following drug overdose
25-year old music star Demi Lovato is getting ready to leave the hospital this week following her drug overdose a few days ago.
According to TMZ’s source, Demi Lovato’s team is making plans for her to head to rehab because the OD twas so bad she was in danger of dying.
The decision to go to rehab is ultimately Demi's, but people closest to her, along with some of the people who work for her, are going to draw a line -- either go to a facility for help, or lose we quit.
At least one key person who works for Demi told TMZ, they will quit if she doesn't check herself in. As the source said, "She could die if she doesn't, and that's not going to be on my watch that we did nothing."
The report said Demi fell off the wagon months ago and refused help, so everyone around her is nervous. They believe, however, that the OD and the subsequent complications in the hospital have sufficiently scared her that she'll go to a live-in facility for extended treatment.
The star’s story of struggling with drug abuse is also featured in this week’s issue of PEOPLE magazine.
"After hitting rock bottom in 2010, Demi Lovato fought her way back up to the top with chart-topping albums and several sold-out tours before her shocking overdose last week.
The singer, 25, has proudly — and publicly — celebrated her sobriety milestones over the last six years, but a longtime friend tells PEOPLE exclusively Lovato struggled privately with the pressure to remain clean."
