NFF Crisis: FIFA releases statement on Nigeria

FIFA has confirmed that Nigeria will not be banned, following the intervention of the federal government.

FIFA initially made public its plan to suspend Nigeria from all football-related activities if the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation is not returned to Amaju Pinnick and Mohammed Sanusi who it recognises as the authentic president and scribe for the NFF.


Earlier in the day, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, disclosed that the federal government had done the needful by recognising Mr Pinnick as NFF boss, as instructed by FIFA.

He said the federal government had already conveyed its position to the world football governing body that it would continue to work with stakeholders to resolve the federation’s dispute in due time.

Mr Akande wrote, “The FG has already conveyed to FIFA its firm position recognising Amaju Pinnick-led NFF as the current and only NFF executive.

“Government will also continue to work with all relevant stakeholders involved to resolve the dispute in a timely manner.

“The Federal Government is upholding NFF treaty obligations to FIFA.

On its part, FIFA confirmed it received assurances on the return to status quo but affirmed that it would still be watching Nigeria closely. 

In a statement released on it’s website, FIFA confirmed that they will not go ahead with the ban, but that they “will continue to closely monitor the situation”.

“Following the decision of the Bureau of the FIFA Council of 13 August 2018 concerning the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), FIFA received confirmations that the legitimate leadership of the NFF under President Amaju Melvin Pinnick and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi has been given back effective control of the NFF and its offices.

“In view of these circumstances, FIFA deems that the conditions set by the decision of the Bureau of the FIFA Council have now been met and consequently the suspension of the NFF will not take effect.

“FIFA will continue to closely monitor the situation in order to ensure that FIFA’s rules and regulations are fully adhered to.”

Ronaldo Jr exceeds dad, scores four goals on Juventus debut

Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to score for Juventus after three games, but  son found the net four times on his debut with the Under-9 team. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, wearing his father’s iconic no. 7 shirt, scored four as his team ‘Pulcini’ category of youth team beat Lucento 5-1 on Saturday. Just a few years back, in the year 1999 Nigeria experienced a change in the telecommunication  sector with the introduction of the GSM phone which I call "general street madness". When there is a crime, the first thing to do is to attend to the victims of the  crime and help them in any way you can then go after the criminals, when the criminal are eventually caught the next line of action is either to punish them or forgive them but off course forgiving them will mean they are sober and feel sorry for the crime they have committed and willing to make amends. 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Release Date Might Be Later Than We Thought

Winter is coming ... with a little bit of a delay. Earlier this year, rumor had it that “Game of Thrones” Season 8 would begin airing sometime in April 2019. The gossip started with a quote Maisie Williams allegedly gave Metro in the U.K., which she later denied. Still, fans hopped on the date and rally around it to this day. And, hey, a release earlier in the year makes sense. HBO’s president of programming, Casey Bloys, said the show would be premiering in the first half of 2019. And in order to qualify for the Emmy Awards in ’19, a series must air between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019. So if HBO wanted the final season of “Game of Thrones” to be considered in the next Emmys, it would have to air before the end of May. Alas, I’m here to tell you, our April watch has ended. LOL(Lots of laughter) & LMAO(Laughing my ass off)

"LOL(lots of laughter)" "LMAO(laughing my ass off)" a popular abbreviation people use on Social Media to express their selves when they want to give the impression that they are laughing... But after much investigation the report on my table shows if 100 people should use the phrase "LOL" or "LMAO"... The photo shows Argento and Jimmy posing for a romantic selfie, from the photo it looked like they just finished making out. Argento had previously denied having any romantic relationship with the 17 years old. At the time of this photo was taken , Bennet was 17 and Argento 37. The New York times reported that months after Argento accused Weinstein of rape , Argento agreed to pay 'hush money' to Bennet after he accused of sexual assault. Argento denied the allegations in the newspaper in a statement first reported Tuesday by the Huffington Post, saying, "I am deeply shocked and hurt by having read news that is absolutely false.
