Avicii died just four months ago, but the musician was barely acknowledged at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, and his fans are lighting up Twitter with their frustration over the slight.



The Swedish DJ passed away on April 20 at age 28, his publicist confirmed in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” the statement read. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated, and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

But during the VMAs broadcast on Monday, August 20, MTV didn’t air any tribute to Avicii, nor was his win for Best Dance televised: He and Rita Ora won the category for their collocation on “Lonely Together.”

In fact, it wasn’t until Ora, 27, took the stage that the late musician was mentioned at all. “I just found out that Avicii and I just won Best Dance, so please just make some noise for Avicii right now,” she said. “Amazing talent!”

The oversight didn’t go unnoticed on Twitter. “Someone should’ve said something about Avicii,” tweeted one viewerOpens a New Window..

Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to score for Juventus after three games, but  son found the net four times on his debut with the Under-9 team. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, wearing his father’s iconic no. 7 shirt, scored four as his team ‘Pulcini’ category of youth team beat Lucento 5-1 on Saturday. It was reported last week that Cristiano Jnr, 8, had joined Juve’s academy side after being on the books at Real Madrid. Sun reports the youngster was in lethal form as he found the net four times in front of step-mum, Georgina Rodriguez. 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Release Date Might Be Later Than We Thought

Winter is coming ... with a little bit of a delay. Earlier this year, rumor had it that “Game of Thrones” Season 8 would begin airing sometime in April 2019. The gossip started with a quote Maisie Williams allegedly gave Metro in the U.K., which she later denied. Still, fans hopped on the date and rally around it to this day. And, hey, a release earlier in the year makes sense. HBO’s president of programming, Casey Bloys, said the show would be premiering in the first half of 2019. And in order to qualify for the Emmy Awards in ’19, a series must air between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019. So if HBO wanted the final season of “Game of Thrones” to be considered in the next Emmys, it would have to air before the end of May. Alas, I’m here to tell you, our April watch has ended.
