Beasts of No Nation” actor “Strika” found begging for money on the street despite being paid '$30k for movie'

Emmanuel Quaye, who starred in the movie "Beasts of No Nation", was found on the street begging for alms.

The Ghanaian child actor who is popularly known as Strika, his character in award-winning movie found the way to the Ghana Institute of Journalism campus begging for money on the road by a journalist Caleb Boye.



Boye shared photos of Strika on Facebook and wrote:
I am sad this morning.
I was heading to the Ghana Institute of Journalism campus and I met Striker. You would ask who is Striker? Striker starred in the movie Beast of No Nations. The said film that made Abraham Attah.
Today I met him begging for money on the road leading to GIJ. I called him and brought him to campus.
Speaking to him he tells me he now works with a gentleman who sells Yam at Agbogbloshie Market
He stays with his grandma at North Kaneshie.

Emmanuel was later featured on GHOne TV, where he shared about the circumstances that led to his present condition.

He revealed how all the earnings from his roles are locked up in an unknown bank account.

Strika alleges that after shooting the movie a producer named Kofi Robert informed him that he would hold the money in trust by depositing into a bank account until he turned 18 but that hasn’t happened even though he is approaching 19.

According to Facebook user Frank Oluigbo, the headless body of a lady was discovered this morning along the Port-Harcourt road Owerri, on a closer look it was discovered that her breast was also cut off. Winter is coming ... with a little bit of a delay. Earlier this year, rumor had it that “Game of Thrones” Season 8 would begin airing sometime in April 2019. The gossip started with a quote Maisie Williams allegedly gave Metro in the U.K., which she later denied. Still, fans hopped on the date and rally around it to this day. And, hey, a release earlier in the year makes sense. HBO’s president of programming, Casey Bloys, said the show would be premiering in the first half of 2019. And in order to qualify for the Emmy Awards in ’19, a series must air between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019.
