Gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele laments as Oyo government demolish his radio station, Fresh FM

The Oyo state government has demolished a property owned by popular gospel singer Yinka Ayefele.

The demolished music house is housing Ayefele's radio station, Fresh FM.



This comes after reports that he had dragged the government to court in a contest of the order to have the property “The Music House” which housed his radio station, studio, and others.

Punch reports that the state government had marked the structure located on the  Challenge-Toll Gate road for demolition for “contravening the state’s planning laws”.

The singer, through his counsel told court that the building was constructed following due process and approval from the state government.

In the exparte motion filed through his counsel Olayinka Bolanle, Ayefele sought a court order restraining the government pending the determination of the suit.

The hearing for the exparte motion was adjourned till Monday. But the state government still went on to demolish the structure.

The singer in an Instagram post following the demolition in the early hours of Sunday, August 19, shared photos of the destroyed property with the caption, “Oyo state government did at last…my pain, my sweat..so help me God”

Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to score for Juventus after three games, but  son found the net four times on his debut with the Under-9 team. And, hey, a release earlier in the year makes sense. HBO’s president of programming, Casey Bloys, said the show would be premiering in the first half of 2019. And in order to qualify for the Emmy Awards in ’19, a series must air between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019.
