Ronaldo, Modric, Salah shortlisted for FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Award
FIFA has shortlisted Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid/Juventus and Portugal), Mohammed Salah (Liverpool and Egypt), and Luka Modrić (Real Madrid and Croatia) for its Men’s Player of the Year award.
Leaving Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi, out of the race for the first time in 12 years.
The trio were also in the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award shortlist which Modric won few days ago.
5-time winne Ronaldo and Modric helped Real Madrid to a three consecutive UEFA Champions League win, Mohammed Salah was phenomenal for Liverpool in the past season.
Ronaldo, who is now in Juventus, was the highest goal scorer in the UEFA Champions League while Modric saw his national team Croatia to the World Cup Final and won the best player of the tournament.
Salah’s phenomenal season saw him lead his Premier League club to the UEFA Champions League final.
The award ceremony will take place September 24 in London.
